Our first day at the Wangaratta Farmers Market turned out to be a very pleasant surprise.
We found ourselves amongst many old friends from the other farmers markets in the region and so we felt right at home.
Despite the market having to be moved to the other side of the Ovens River due to the flooding of Apex Park, and the stallholders being a little dispersed, there was such a continuous stream of customers that the stallholders decided to stay an extra half hour past the official closing time.
After a few challenging winter’s days over the past month, it was so good to have a beautiful, mild winter’s morning with the locals out in force along the boardwalk with their dogs, prams and shopping baskets.
We are so looking forward to September in Wangaratta.
