We felt so privileged to have been invited to the inaugural Nagambie Farmers Market on Sunday.
The market was opened by Mary-Anne Thomas MP and featured a display of the Melbourne Cup (together with its minder!). Nagambie is the birthplace of Black Caviar (hence the BC hats everywhere, like the one René is wearing).
The array of stallholders read like a list of the best gourmet produce regional Victoria has to offer. The Nagambie locals enjoyed getting to know the new stalls and the most common question all of us seemed to be asked was “will you be back next month”. The answer was simple – “absolutely”.
We have made so many new friends who love chocolate like we do, including the mayor of Strathbogie Shire, Colleen Furlanetto, who is a confirmed chocolate connoisseur (pictured here in discussion with René).
If you missed the September market, be sure to mark the 23rd October in your calendar. It will be a good one!
